“Hey Mace!”
Hi there! This will undoubtedly be my most awkward article as I introduce myself and my column, but you probably need a little context before diving in. So here goes nothing…
I’m Maci
I’m a Webconnex Marketing team member, wife, mom, and a proud new Texan. But you might not know I’ve also dabbled in Interior Design over the years.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by Interior Design. I studied the interiors of friends and family’s homes, movies, restaurants, and really any beautiful space, I was taking note.
In 2015, I decided to give Interior Design a go, as a side hustle. I consulted, planned, and installed many interior design projects with a partner, as well as on my own. As I tested out my design ability, discovered my personal aesthetic, and learned what it takes to have a profitable design business, I found I love interior design most when it’s my hobby.
Since stepping back from pursuing interior design as a profession in 2020, I light up at the chance to answer questions from friends and family…
“Hey Mace… What would you do on this wall?”
“Hey Mace… I need your help with design.”
“Hey Mace… What do you think of this rug?”
This is where the idea for a new SacPeep column called “Hey Mace!” came to be.
My goal is for this to be a space where you can write in with your home decor and organization questions. As I respond with specific tips, tricks, and design guidance, my hope is for those who didn’t write in will also walk away with helpful design insight for their own space.
Now, here’s where I need your help… Please write in! No really… This is embarrassing if no one writes in. No question is too silly, and no question is dumb. If you’re asking it, so is someone else.
Please submit your questions here or in the form below by the 20th of each month to be considered for the coming issue of the Sac Peep.
Oh and let’s be clear, I’m not trying to be presumptuous and claim I’m the “Webconnex Expert of Interior Design”. I am far from it. However, I do have a passion for sharing what I’ve learned, so you may feel capable of creating a space you love.
Till next time,
Mace
